Women in academe

Over at profgrrrl's, there's a discussion of a student suing a faculty member for pain and suffering from having received a B+ when the student expected an A. One commenter suggested people read a blog entry about women professors, and I wanted to send people over to read it.

It's funny because one thing she said occurred just today. Yesterday in class, as mentioned previously, I was challenged like crazy. Today, I got an email from a student asking for help related to a break-up from her boyfriend. ARGH!
