If this is what men are like in New Zealand...
then I am moving there!
I read about Flight of the Conchords in a few places, and finally tonight watched a video of one of their songs. They are hilarious and adorable! They now have a show on HBO, and you can apparently watch the first episode there - although I've not yet done that.
So if all New Zeke (I dunno, Styley - what are y'all called?) men are that cute and charming, I'm there!
Speaking of men I like ... I watched the film "On the edge" tonight. I've had it out for some time, but finally got around to watching it tonight. It's an irish film (that's part of why I put it off - I always doubt my ability to understand irish dialects - it's the one dialect in my theatre training I could never master) about a young man who attempts suicide and goes to a psych hospital. It is sad, charming, and sweet - I strongly recommend it. But mostly, I am totally in love with Stephen Rea's portrayal of the therapist. He has to be one of the best shrinks ever portrayed in any film. He is very gentle, focused, smart, and thoughtful. I think he might be a little infuriating because he is so unflappable - but he's sturdy and kind. It impressed me that the shrink was protrayed so well (okay, so maybe there were some issues around privacy - maybe he said more about other patients than he ought to have - but it is a movie after all).
