I learned that the job is on - I start friday.

I got an invite for a second interview.

I got an request for a first interview.

My ex-boss tells me this is exactly the kind of problem I *want* to have. But I still feel such guilt. I have to take a day off next week for the second interview, which is a little awkward. But again it's a great position at a great school making tons more money and it's in my field. The other position is in my field too - but would mean leaving academia - which would be a little sad.

On another note - to the museum I visited to - here's a little word to the wise - if you are gonna be all defensive 'n' shit about people's perceptions of the aztecs as being pretty significantly focused on human sacrifice - maybe don't spent 3/4 of your exhibit talking about their practices of human sacrifice.
